Working principle of interaxle differential assembly
1. When turning, due to the sliding drag of the outer wheel and the sliding rotation of the inner wheel, the two driving wheels will produce additional forces in opposite directions, resulting in different speeds of the wheels on both sides, which destroys the balance relationship between the three, and is reflected on the half shaft gear through the half shaft, forcing the planetary gear to rotate and slowing down the speed of the inner half shaft, The speed of the outer half axle is accelerated, so as to realize the difference of wheel speed on both sides. If the drive wheels on both sides of the drive axle are rigidly connected with a whole shaft, the two wheels can only rotate at the same angle. In this way, when the vehicle turns to travel, because the outer wheel moves a larger distance than the inner wheel, the outer wheel will slip while rolling, while the inner wheel will slip while rolling. Even if the vehicle runs in a straight line, it will cause wheel sliding due to uneven road surface or unequal tire rolling radius (tire manufacturing error, different wear, uneven load or unequal air pressure), which will not only aggravate tire wear, increase power and fuel consumption, but also make the vehicle difficult to turn and poor braking performance. In order to prevent the wheel from sliding as much as possible, the structure must ensure that each wheel can rotate at different angles.

Composition structure of differential assembly
1.The automobile differential assembly can make the left and right (or front and rear) drive wheels rotate at different speeds. It is mainly composed of left and right half shaft gears, two planetary gears and gear carrier. Ordinary differential assembly is composed of planetary gear, planetary carrier (differential housing), half shaft gear and other parts.

Why is the differential needed
1. When the car turns, the wheels spin at different speeds.
